Welcome to Barry Hardy PublicationsDepression, Stress, CFS, ME, Psychological Illness

I'm a professionally qualified engineer and I specialise in a wide range of corporate interim support solutions reporting directly to; MD's, CEO's, PD's, OD's, COO's in a wide range of high caliber service delivery environments.

As a result of an undiagnosed  major health issue spanning over 30 years which simply devastated my body, my well-being, my career and my finances during period 2002 - 2004. I applied my engineering, scientific and strategic brain to my debilitating health issues in an attempt to secure some form of effective diagnosis and treatment.  In doing so I managed to turn my life around completely whilst ignorant medics simply sat back, wrote me off and failed me on every conceivable moral, ethical and intellectual level. Because my road to recovery was so very difficult, so very long, so very painful, so very lonely and so very unnecessary at times.  I felt that I had a moral duty to document the many additional skills that I was 'forced' to acquire along the way. In the sincere hope that no other living mortal ever has to go to the places that I was forced to go to deep down inside of me.  Places of sheer mortal despair as my body corrupted by disease nearly drove me insane, indeed points of complete abandonment which in reality I believe I was only able to come back from because of my sense of right and my quintessential life force that refused to give up on my ongoing battle for a better quality of life.  A very real and a very arduous personal life battle in the midst of over 3 decades of medical/clinical abuse and failure of a simply monumental, grotesque and paradoxically insane scale.

Today I see the medical industry for all it is, all its incompetence's and all its cruelty towards me and my fellow man and that is the second reason why I felt that I must write my books. Because I believe its high time we ousted and crushed the luddite, protectionist, perverse and dogmatically ignorant cultures that permeates every aspect of the medical/clinical world for all it is and in doing so; create a culture where integrity, and scientific rationale rule supreme.  A service delivery function free from character assassination and gross failures of due diligence across the board.  You see; I don't have any medical/clinical qualifications at all, but that didn't prevent me from applying simple common sense to my case, whereas every medic I ever sort help from simply preferred to postulate from ignorant and uncaring lofty spires, whilst simultaneously reflecting the blame for my condition back onto me.  Now where is the decency and/or integrity in that? Answer, there is none, and you only need to be unfortunate enough to be struck down by a chronic illness to discover just how shoddy the level of medical/clinical support truly is, from our so called; errrrrrrrrrrr; 'laudable medical/clinical institutions'.  As a very real mortal with all my very real mortal imperfections, I haven't just got an axe to grind with the medical/clinical industry because one cursory cretin failed me. No; I was failed and abused completely on a whole ensemble of fronts because that's just the way that those industries operate by default and that's why and in general, representation from both the medical/clinical world sicken me to my core these days.

Do my views comprise my ability to deliver world class interim business solutions within the medical/clinical public and private sectors? Absolutely not, if anything they inspire me to give all that I have, in the very sincere hope that I can in some small way help bring about the level of change that we all so desperately need. Because we all need these service delivery functions re-positioned and brought into line with modern business thinking.  We all need the medical/clinical business service delivery sectors to be smarter, more considered and more focused upon world class front and back end problem solving and effective service delivery.  Instead of the prehistoric and outdated schools of thought that continue to underwrite highly inflated egos and poor problem solving capabilities. Whilst simultaneously affording their numbers ample opportunity to abuse and fail the very people who's wellbeing has been placed in their care, with in many instances, unsubstantiated perceptions and dogma about what is or is not, the root cause of far too many chronic illnesses.

Given my appalling life experiences at the hands of these industries, I'm actually looking forward to the day when the medical/clinical industries for the first time in their history rise to the ethical and moral challenge of assuming their rightful place and status in society. A place and status in society based upon world class service delivery, free from the bullshit, incompetence and postulated self protectionist froth that has been their privilege to live by for far too many years at the expense of their fellow men i.e. you, me and us.

You see, its high time that representation from these industries were brought into line with the real time customer focused decency that we expect from any modern professional services provider in the 21st century. Because don't ever forget that we owe them absolutely nothing. We've funded their training, built their facilities and we continue to invest in them and their industries even when we know that they fail us and our loved ones on a daily basis simply by default.  So if there is a burden of moral debt to be answered here in relation to the medical/clinical industries contribution to our society.  Let us never forget that this debt resides squarely upon their shoulders and upon those who gain great status and wealth from their association with and through the medical/clinical industries. Therein and therefore we must demand a level of service and support from the same that is both our moral and ethical right to expect.

The first book that prescriptively mapped my journey through my mortal abyss and onto my own unique recovery was 'Raphael's Legacy', and I sort of refer to that book now as my very real life curriculum vitae.  So then; if you would like to visit my online book store please click [ here ] or for specific books, simply visit that page on this web site and click on the books preview image and you will be redirected to the; 'buy this book preview window'.  'Warning' Raphael's Legacy contains strong, explicit views including the use of offensive language, which some may find unnecessarily gratuitous'.

Incidentally all 14 books that I've published thus far have been written and complied entirely in a multicultural internet café in south east London, with only my own sense of focus and the unequivocal generosity and continued support of my hosts as their ultimate driving force. So then; for your initial review, I'm taking the opportunity of previewing 4 of my books re: below.

, Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism, Toxic Body Syndrome & Lymes

Paperback book £15.99
ISBN: 978-0-9561538-5-2

Self help book Exploring Fluid Normality asks the question; who amongst us truly know who we are? We may think we have a good and robust understanding of who we are, of what makes us tick, our likes and dislikes.  However the reality of that assessment is based upon nothing more than an acquired acceptance of a myriad of intangible unknowns and/or projected givens which may or may not be completely void of any substantive or qualified rationale.  Its is only at the point that we begin the process of testing the validity of our fluid normality that we begin to know and understand who we truly are.

 Paperback book £13.99
